Well well, what a surprise the fabulous Trish goes home?!
I’m quite surprised, I thought her personality would carry her to the top 2, but her massed produced design didn’t win the voters hearts. Maybe if it were a collection show, it would roll, but distinct weekly briefs counteracted that.
Anyway, as she stated we haven’t seen the last of her, and I for sure believe her. Good on you Trish, and look forward to seeing more of you in the future. Rock on!
Now down to the fashion!!
The show was great, down to the last 3, and I’m happy with the trio. I mean if you go back to the beginning of the show, I bloged on how much I liked Kerry, and Zowies designs, and the way they think. Then Qiulae caught my eye, and came up with beautiful, simple, effective designs, and I would buy and wear with pride. I really like how Qiulae designs, thinks about her fabric, features, and accessories look. She has a, I got this, confidence about her, that will take her far in the industry, if she chooses that over law, of course!
This weeks challenge was to design a glamours party dress, inspired by your models.
Now as I said Qiulae is brilliant, and designed her model a perfect glamour garment. She used funky tribal fabric, that complemented her model, with pleats, a sexy bodice, and a yellow knot belt, to match the under short skirt to reveal her beautiful legs.
Now picking my 2 fav. garments out of my 3 fav. designers was hard work, so I put my fav. feelings aside, and concentrated on the best looking designs. My best garment that won my vote this week, was Kerry’s design. Even tho the judges didn’t think he expanded his range, by choosing to use a similar design to the coat jacket with pocket feature, from episode 1. How Kerry explained, that the jacket suited his model was valid, it did, and I thought she looked gorgeously glamours, double G!
I love the layering effect, the colour is spectacular, and a sucker for hot sexy backs, and what can I say, but give me this dress, I will treasure it forever. Hot, Hot, Hot!!
